Telephone: (207)534-2252 E-mail: mooserivermem@prexar.com The Moosehead Lake area is traditionally known for its quiet natural setting. Experience that feeling of "getting away for a while, going back in time" where children can feel safe and enjoy many outside activities and where you can spend unrushed family time. Sportsmen have always enjoyed the area for its fine fishing in the largest lake in Maine. Brassua Lake is also nearby, as is East and West outlets of the Kennebec River. Fishing in Moose River is at its best in late May and early June. Hunters enjoy the uncrowded woods in the fall for moose, deer, bear, rabbit and bird hunting. During the year you can see moose, deer, otter, ducks, loon, eagles and Canada geese from your camp. Bring your camera, relax, hike, hunt, fish, canoe, swim, golf or partake in many other outdoor activities. Or if history is your thing, take in our historic places.
