There are 3 million acres of private paper company owned woodlands. For a small fee, you can access some of them. Right off our back door, you can walk up on the Blue Ridge, where deer are plentiful and access is free, along with many other dirt roads where you can walk or ride. Whatever your interest, we have it all. We can help you find a local guide. Guides for bear or deer hunting average $150. per day. A guide for a moose hunt is $1000. a week. Moose hunters have a success rate of 85%. We have huge whitetail deer, they weigh in up to 300 lbs. Moose can average anywhere from 600 lbs. and up.
